    Cibie Series 175 Driving/Fog Lights
    Auction is for a pair of new-old-stock (NOS) Cibie Series 175 driving/fog lights made in Spain (one clear and one amber lens).  These are serious driving lights that would be suitable for rally events as well as road use.  Glass dimensions approximately 7.00" x 4.25" (178mm x 108mm) . Overall dimensions 8.5" width x 5" height. (216mm x 127mm). These were often referred to as the "Rectangular Oscar" by virtue of the concave-shaped lens face and lighting performance.
    Currently, these units are equipped with 55 watt H2 halogen bulbs in order to be road legal, but they could easily handle bulbs at a much higher wattage.  Vintage and genuine Cibie units with early grey powder-coated metal housings and chrome bezels. Covers and mounting hardware are included.  Original boxes are not included.  The lights have been tested for proper operation.
    These units could be fitted to any car - above or below the bumper, but they would be particularly suitable for installation on an historic sports or touring car.  Cibie has a worldwide reputation for producing quality automotive lighting products.  Please check-out the other automotive items I have listed.
